I have at least one application I use frequently and open lots of windows.
I'm very happy to have new windows open at my specified default position but occasionally I would like a window to open at the position it was when I closed the app.
A suggestion: With a modifier key held down (eg Control), don't use the specified default position.

It seems like this is a quite niche function. I'll add your request to the entry dedicated to the ability to have several specific settings for a window and quickly switch between them. We'll post here if such feature is implemented.
