Hello Bogdan,
I think the was different. The purpose was to avoid having to search through the forums before posting, avoiding duplicate posts and keeping us involved. Alex started these posts in December 2011 and has published them consequently for a while to meet our request, but now no announcements are made anymore. I do not know how much of an effort it is to publish advance descriptions of beta versions, but I do know they were really appreciated (for sure by me  )
