Hi. In VISTA and later system start to contain "io priority" feature.
I found only 1 software at internet today wich allow to change this priority. IO priority is very good and usable thing. I setup high level for explorer and software that i use.. and set "low" level for other software... for example i started few HDD benchmarks simultaneously... and with low level IO priority they work smooth.. my explorer.exe work fast and i dont even feel that in background my HDDs work at 60mb/sec speed.
I recommend it for anyone.. thy this software: ProcessHacker - it only 1 software today wich allow to play with it...
But ProcessHacker cant save settings... so if i start some process it start with it default IO settings and i need to manually change it any time.
I want this feature to be realized in Actual Window Manager.

Allight i found the solution. congratulations.
console software that changes io priority by process PID. project here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/iopriority/
so all u need is to sel ect target window with Actual Window Manager - go to "start" tab, select "on run" and select the iopriority.exe %pid% <io priority>
and all thinks goes right!!!
with eBoostr this is really good speed up thing!!!
write to my ICQ: 411141181 if u have questions.

I'm glad you found a way to do what you want to do regarding I/O priorities.
IMO, adding a function like this to any of the actual tools products would be inappropriate, as this function does not fit in with the intended purposes of their product line. I/O priority adjustments are part of process management, not window or monitor management.
