WHY: some HDTV's do not offer control of the visible area, for HDMI input mode.
It's great having a 32" TV as your third monitor, especially when you use the TV's HDMI input (better resolution, than possible with VGA).
But my Panasonic TC-L32U3 does not allow control of the vertical or horizontal *STRETCH*, for HDMI mode. (You can control them for "PC" input mode, but not HDMI.)
Sure, I could avoid using "maximize" with Remote Desktop... but then you have to scroll the window to use the taskbar... (then taskbar is not a shortcut anymore)... the mouse regularly disappears beyond the visible area... you have to "grope in the dark" with the mouse pointer if you want to move/disconnect/etc a Remote Desktop window, and you have to constantly POSITION windows, rather than use maximize.
So, could there be a way to either: (1) BEST: limit or control the dimensions of the entire desktop, of the monitor (software control of stretch), to be less than the DisplayLink driver setting (for example, LOOKING LIKE a little less than 1920x1080)???
or (2) HELPFUL: control the size & position of any window WITHIN that desktop, that "maximize" would be set to a specific size and position, less than the actual desktop?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts... -- Doug Ivison DougsEmail4Dev@aol.com

- Unfortunately, we are not able to realize this.

- You could try to use the "Restrict placement" ( http://www.actualtools.com/windowmanager/help/features/restrict.php ) in Default Settings to get this behavior.
Best regards.
