Hello,
A nice feature would be the ability to hide specific tray icons, while still keeping this Windows setting enabled: "Always show all icons in the notification area". I know you can disable this and toggle specific tray icons.
This would help with programs that add a tray icon, without providing the ability to hide it. Of course, we'd still want these programs to keep running in the background.
It would be useful for this to also work for programs that do not have a window/UI interface.

Do you mean hiding tray icons completely like disabling them or hiding in the same way toggling off in the Windows tray settings does - moving to the hidden tray panel?

What are examples of such applications?
Best regards.

The first one. It would be something that Windows cannot currently offer. An example application would be Viber for Desktop.
Not really THAT important though, feel free to ignore this request. Just an idea for further control of tray icons.
Another improvement for those tray icons, would be the ability to automatically remove hanging/"dead" icons. This is a very old Windows problem: if an application crashes or terminates in an unexpected way, its tray icon will NOT go away. The tray will only clean up if the mouse hovers on that dead icon.

We'll consider adding these features and will post here if they're added.
