I was surprised to find out that Actual Window Manager does not automatically start when I login to Windows. I quickly looked for corresponding option, but could not find one. May be I overlooked it - there are too many. How do I make AWM to start automatically? I don't believe I'm supposed to add a link to it to Startup group!

Interestingly enough Actual Window Manager -> Options -> General -> Load at startup checkbox is ticked, but still AWM does not start automatically when I logon. I have to run it manually from Start menu every time.
Which method AWM uses to autostart? I may take a look if required registry keys are there.

Win 7 - 64 bit.
Microsoft Security Essentials.
Is there any debug log I can turn on?
Any registry settings to check?

Hello Konstantin,
Could you do the following:
1. turn off Load at startup (Actual Window Manager -> Options -> General);
2. save changes;
3. turn on Load at startup (Actual Window Manager -> Options -> General);
4. save changes;
5. restart your computer and check whether the problem still persists or not.
Registry settins:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Actual Window Manager.

Ok, I figured it out.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisableCurrentUserRun was set to 1.
When I reset it to 0 AWM started to work.
I hate our IT guys
