Are you running Actual Window Manager now? If yes, then what version you're running?
One our other user had performance problem which was associated with Metatrader. Could you see, whether the problems persist in your case if Metatrader is not running?

Had you used the file to restore the registry settings you had before executing the AffinityMaskAIM.reg, after you stopped to use the program?
If the problem still persists, could you open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc combination), reproduce the issue and see what the values of common CPU usage and memory usage are (Performance tab) and what processes have the greatest values of the CPU and Memory parameters (in Windows 8 and 10 - the Details tab) when the system is slowed down. Let us know the results.
