Hate to hijack Stephens thread but the same thing happens to me, but on Windows 7.
8.4 is fine.
8.5 and 8.5.1 both shutdown a second or two after starting.
No debug file is automatically created.
Message was sent to technical support several days ago, no response yet.

Actually  It WORKS!!! I did not fully uninstall it before. I then went and did a complete uninstall and it is working fine. Looks good now that the taskbars are all the same colour.

OK, it's stopped working again after a reboot. Also, no log file generated.

I have just downloaded and installed Actual Multiple Monitors 8.5.2 and it is working. I cannot however access the configuration file to adjust settings. It simply won't load.

Stephen, please try out the just released update 8.5.3 - it should work as before, including Configuration and other components.
