win xp sp 3, google chrome

when i click the "show desktop button" i would rather only minimize all applications on monitor 1. so i want to prevent that minimizing on monitor 1 also affects monitor 2. i would rather not use a hotkey, since i use the 'show desktop' button to minimize.

i want to force an application to a specific monitor. i have 1 browser window in monitor 2 and keep it there. whenever a new browser window is opened, it also launces still launches monitor 2. BUT i want additional opened browsers to always open in monitor 1.

2 - are you talking about some special browser window which you open first? Or do you just describe the mechanism of processing the windows with the same target criteria?

2 the problem is, when i open chrome via a shortcut, it opens in monitor1 like it should. but i also open chrome via an application, and then it doesnt work and opens in the monitor screen that was last used by chrome. i tried the "specific settings>chrome" but it didnt work.

yes, it it somewhat different.
i use trillian, which has an email link. upon clicking that link chrome opens.

its part of the program, it provides a link to email. upon clicking, chrome immediately opens.

I was unable to reproduce this with the Actual Window Manager latest version.
What our product (name, version) are you running?
when i open chrome via a shortcut, it opens in monitor1 like it should.
- what do you mean "like it should"? Do you have specific settings for Chrome that moves it on the primary at startup?
Please do the following:
- Launch our program
- In the notification area (system tray) context menu for our program (right click on the our program icon) select the “Show Log Window” item. It opens the Log window, where our program displays the windows which it tracks, Settings that are applied to these windows etc.
- Make sure that the “Enable logging” option of this window is enabled
- If the window contains some entries, then right-click the working area and select the “Clear Log” item.
- When the log window is clear, open the Chrome window via Trillian and check whether the new entries (related to the Chrome windows) appear in the log window and what setting are applied to it.
- What settings are applied to Chrome when you launch it via the shortcut?

i have this setting in AMM: windows settings>default settings: move at startup to monitor: mouse pointer, so the chrome browser opens in the mouse pointer monitor, as it should. except when it is started from the trillian shortcut.
