My primary problem is with the Start button, sounds similar to , which did not get a reply.
I am running Windows 10 x64, with 2 monitors, and was running a 5+ year old version of AMM without any trouble. I recently upgraded video cards which required new drivers, and started having problems with AMM. Powering off the monitors would move all the running programs to the one powered off last, and when powering the monitors back on, AMM would move programs to the correct monitor and would frequently hang/crash explorer.exe so I have to logout to get things back.
So I purchased a new license in December and upgraded to AMM 8.15.3, so I have the following config: OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 (x64) OS Version: 10.0.19045.6456, station (x64) Actual Tools Program Name: Actual Multiple Monitors Actual Tools Program Version: 8.15.3 Conflicting Program Name: Conflicting Program Version:
The latest version only partially solves the crash problem (happens every few days rather than almost every day) and introduced a new problem with the Start button. I have the Start button on both monitors. If I remember to only press the Start button on Monitor 1, things work as expected. However if I press the Monitor 2 start button, nothing happens; then if I press the Monitor 1 Start button, the Start menu shows up on Monitor 2, sometimes immediately and sometimes needing a few tries. I've tried to reset the taskbar configuration, nothing helps.
There is also a new more minor bug with Quicken where both taskbars have an entry for Quicken, and many sub windows come up on the wrong monitor. I've deleted Quicken from the AMM config, and reconfigured it, which made no difference at all.
Is the configuration supposed to be upwardly compatible to the latest version? If not, how do I clear out the config and start over?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
