I have taskbar thumbnails enabled (AWM taskbar replaces system taskbar), but something seems to have changed recently (Windows 10 update?) which means that when I mouse over the thumbnail, that window is displayed on the desktop and all other windows are hidden - really infuriating! I couldn't find an option to disable that.
I searched online for a Windows tweak for it, but all found was how to disable the thumbnails - that's _not_ what I want. I do want the thumbnails, I just don't want them to change the displayed windows until I click on them.
Is it possible in AWM to stop this annoying 'feature'?

Hello, David
I was able to succesfully disable this behavior using this solution. Please try it, and let us know whether it solves the problem for you.
Best regards.

Sadly not - I already had those entries in the registry. However, the comments on the page did highlight this is called 'Aero Peek', and can be found in Performance Options (of course - where else would you expect to find something to do with window previews and display?). So I've managed to get rid of it 'properly' now.
Many thanks for the pointer.
