I've recently started using AMM Pro 3.4.2 under Win7 Pro x64, and mostly it works well. But one problem I've run into is with Adobe Reader (AR) X (currently 10.1.2): it doesn't get title bar buttons, and I can't even move it to my secondary monitor -- when I drag it and let go, it snaps back to the primary monitor.

Another post suggested disabling AR's Protected Mode, which does solve the problem. However, this disables one of AR X's key security features. Is there no way to have AR X work on a secondary monitor without disabling protected mode?

Thanks.

Hello J W,

Thanks for the post.

You could try to use hotkyes (move to next monitor, maximize to desktop...)  without disabling protected mode.

Best regards.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, it doesn't work. The default Win+/ (and Win+Sh+/) moves other apps to my other monitor, but when Adobe Reader X has the focus Win+/ does nothing.

Should this work?

Thanks!

Hello J W,

Is there no way to have AR X work on a secondary monitor without disabling protected mode?
- We are investigating this. Most likely, there is no way to manage Adobe Reader X by Actual Multiple Monitors without disabling protected mode.

- Apparently, this should not work.

We'll inform you about any results in this thread.

Best regards.

Too bad... I've added Adobe Reader X to the Exclusions list, so at least I can now manually drag an AR X window to my secondary monitor.

Thanks.

Yes!!! This must be work. But still you do not get proper solution you can contact directly to Adobe Support. As I think this is adobe side problem.
